PRODUCER NOTES
Tacherons (from the word tâche, meaning task in English) comes from an old Burgundian tradition of contracting independent workers for each job in the vineyard. Having honed their skills in the Mâconnais, they have applied their mastery and style to viticulture in southern France. The Haute Vallée, near Limoux, where the climate and soils are similar to Mâcon, are perfect for growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. These wines are amazing value— Burgundy without the price point!
FARMING & WINEMAKING NOTES
The clay-limestone soils of the Limoux are perfect for Chardonnay. The grapes are grown at 350m above sea level, tempering the warmth of the Southern French climate, making an elegant fresh Chardonnay. The grapes are pressed, and the juice is settled at low temperatures before racking into tank for fermentation. The wine is aged in tank on fine lees to retain freshness.
